Baby Cot

We decided to unpack the baby cot that was sent over by my parents from Kota Bharu. The baby cot is custom made by a carpenter in Kelantan, incidentally the same carpenter also made my baby cot!

The cot is made up of 4 components:
  • frame
  • drawers
  • mattress (also custom made, with cotton fillings)
  • wooden board, to support the mattress

It took us roughly 30 mins to assemble the various components. Notice that the baby cot is quite high up. The reason for this is to enable us to easily pickup the baby without having to place unecessary stress on our backs. Further the high placement of the mattress would allow us to change the baby's nappy comfortably.

Another view of the cot... ok ok actually the reason I included this picture is because of the cute baby poster in the background.

What I really like about this cot are the drawers. Discreetly placed under the mattress on both sides of the cot, it allows ample storage for infant related items. As far as I know, no baby cot in the market has this option.
