Taxation: Life is not fair

I recently was paid some commission from my company for assisting in a sales closure. i was ecstatic!!!. i was already planning to buy a few things...but I was shocked that i had to pay more than half in taxes. Ok I was still fine with the tax deduction, I mean it is only fair that I pay taxes...what really cheesed me off is that i was recently informed that by the inland revenue that i still owe roughly RM1300 plus for my 2007 assessment!!!.

sigh...I am dreading the taxes that i will have to pay when i get my salary adjustment.

Any suggestions on how i can reduce my tax payments???
